A dream

Sometimes there are back to haunt you. They come from nowhere and appear in your dreams. Ghosts from the past that one never truly leaves behind.

There was a girl. We had a crush for each other, but we never got together. Our lives just touched, for some brief time. She died, long ago and long after I stopped seeing her. But occasionally, she still comes to haunt my dreams. We meet, we talk, we kiss, we feel the attraction all over again. Then I leave, with vague promises to see her again, maybe later that evening. But she leaves too, ending the dream.

Golf

My sister's companion has a twin that used to be a professional golf player. Twins are very competitive he says, so he too played golf, but the brother put in those ten thousand hours that set him apart.

At one point in my life I could have been a writer and a poet. I had the talent. It was long ago. I did not have the determination to believe in myself though. I did not put in those ten thousand hours of passion...
Today I write software. I try to write good software and are somehow addicted to it. Sadly, anyone can make a living as a web developer, but very few in this world can claim to be poets.

First post

Not a good start... I guess... seven years after creating this blog, I now write these first lines... and English is not even my first language... I lack the tools and the knowledge, so I need to keep things simple. But my writing , like myself, never were simple. Who is? An ordinary guy, you see, a cryptic, but ordinary guy.

I dislike small talk. My worst words ever: How are you? Great, thanks. Fine. Super!... unsociable.
Arrogant? Shy? Snob? Maybe a bit of all. I would love to have the gift... to find out about peoples lives. Cross a stranger on the road and ask: are you happy? And find out about death and pain and life... there is so much life around us... and we are all so close and closed to each other...

So, to end this brief first post, written for the wind into the wind, am I happy? Yes, I often am.
